Capital Regional Teen Talent Contest

Music, magic, comedy, and more!!
Teens and Pre-Teens from all over the Capital Region will perform before a panel of three judges and receive their feedback. Kids will be travelling from as far away as Corinth and Galway to put their talents to the test. This year's judges are Musician and Theatre Critic Michael Eck, Singer/Actress Lisa Verb, and last fall's Teen Talent Winner Lexi Rabadi.

Teen Talent Judges
Michael Eck is a nationally recognized music writer and theater critic (Albany Times Union, Amazon.com., AOL.com, Austin Chronicle, Backstage, Billboard, Chronogram, Fretboard Journal and many others). He is also an active musician; painter; publicist; and record & radio producer. He is currently assistant producer of the Music Haven Concert Series and guest producer of the Steamer No. 10 Theatre Eclectic Performance Series. Additionally, Eck is a board member of historic Caffe Lena and sits on the Fine Arts and Gallery Management Advisory Committee at Hudson Valley Community College. www.michaeleck.com
Elisa Verb is a local singer and actor who has been performing all over the Capital Region for almost 20 years. She has performed with almost every professional and community theater including Steamer 10, Park Playhouse, C-R Productions at Cohoes Music Hall, Schenectady Light Opera Company, Class Act Productions, Spotlight Players and Not So Common Players. She is a cantorial vocalist at Congregation Gates of Heaven as well as an early childhood educator at both Gates of Heaven and the Montessori School of Schenectady. Previously she taught nursery school and directed the middle school musicals at Brown School in Schenectady. Elisa lives in Rexford with her husband and 2 teenage children who will soon be performing at Steamer 10 in the The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Lexi Rabadi is humbled to be sitting alongside a panel of such esteemed judges! As a competitor and the winner of Steamer 10 Theatre's Teen Talent Contest in the fall, she knows how much talent is harbored in the Capital Region and cannot wait to begin this exciting process. Lexi has been performing across the Capital Region through various community theaters for several years. Most recently, she was seen as Lizzie Fields in Schenectady Light Opera Company's (SLOC) "Baby, The Musical." She has also performed with Cohoes Music Hall, Mac-Hayden Theater, and Albany's Park Playhouse, among others. Currently, she is intern-directing "Hairspray" at SLOC while looking forward to graduating high school and pursuing Musical Theatre in her college career.
