Program Auditions for \nMURDER’S IN THE HEIR \nWritten by Billy St. John \nDirected (& Program led) by Cleis Hahn \nAuditions will be held \nThursday\, August 21st from 5pm-7pm & \nSaturday\, August 23rd from 10am-12pm. \nABOUT THE SHOW \nAlmost every character in this hilarious mystery has the weapon\, opportunity\, and motive to commit the unseen murder. And it’s up to you\, the audience\, to decide who actually did it! \nHeirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather have the means and the motive to do away with him\, but tensions arise when Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will\, his lawyer\, Lois van Zandt\, revealing controversial news. The rejected heirs are not pleased\, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax\, a gun\, and poison. When Simon Starkweather is predictably murdered\, his grandson Simon III is determined to find his grandfather’s killer and solve the case\, with the help of detective Mike Davis. The play’s unique ending\, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience\, determines the killer in this maze of murder! \nSteamer No. 10 Theatre’s program directors are committed to building a diverse\, authentic cast\, supporting ALL students. \nYoung artists of any gender identity\, ethnicity\, and neurodiversity are encouraged to audition! \nPlease Note: \nThis production is only casting student artists between ages 8-16. \nAUDITION DETAILS \nAUDITION DATE/TIME \nThursday\, August 21st from 5pm-7pm & \nSaturday\, August 23rd from 10am-12pm. \nLOCATION \nSteamer No. 10 Theatre \n500 Western Ave.\, Albany\, NY 12203 \nStreet parking is available on Western and Madison\, please do not park in the spots marked off for police vehicles.  You may park within the Citizens Bank parking lot (Western Ave) after business hours\, but please take care to avoid handicap/unauthorized spaces with signage. \nAUDITION INFO & WHAT TO PREPARE \nSign-in on Thursday will begin at 5:00 p.m.   \nAuditions will begin at 5:15 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. \nSign-in on Saturday will begin at 10:00 a.m.   \nAuditions will begin at 10:15 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. \nStudents need only attend one audition session\, though are always welcome to attend both. \nScenes or full scripts will be provided for students to read from at the auditions. \nWe ask that students be prepared to fill out any conflicts they may have Mon.-Fri. evenings and Saturdays/Sundays from end of August through mid November. \nAdditionally\, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and secure shoes for the auditions. \nPRODUCTION DETAILS \nPERFORMANCE DATES \nNovember 14-16\, 2025\, and November 21-23\, 2025\nFridays at 7pm\, Saturdays & Sundays at 3pm \nREHEARSAL INFORMATION \nRehearsals will generally be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings\, and Saturdays (time based on participant availability) either in the late morning or early afternoon. \nAttendance is mandatory for \n~Tech Sunday November 9\, 2025~ \n~Tech Week rehearsals November 10-13\, 2025~ \n(with one dark day/night off TBD) \n~And All Performances.~ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe hope you’ll join us for this first student production of our season\, it’s sure to be a blast!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFollow us on Social Media (FB: /Steamer10Theatre; IG: @steamer eto stay up to date on all Steamer 10 Theatre productions & events!
