SUMMARY:New Year's Eve - 2024: Déja Eww! - Songs to Amuse
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of the national nightmare that begins in a mere three weeks\, Byron and Malcolm salute the tyrants and bullies and general idiots who’ll be wreaking havoc upon us\, with songs like “Four Prominent Bastards\,” “Capitalistic Boss\,” and\, of course\, the anthemic “We Will All Go Together When We Go.” The show costs a mere $25 (less if you’re old like us)\, so spend it while those Social Security checks are still arriving. We’ll also be singing old favorites by Flanders & Swann\, Tom Lehrer\, Randy Newman\, and others.

I became a studio engineer producing\, and recording\,  and writing music using Protools. I’ve had the pleasure of playing the NFL referees NewYear’s  Eve party\, Turning Stone Casino\, as well as several festivals and county fairs.  \n  \n \nJay Gold  \nBegan playing guitar at the age of nine and bass guitar by age 14. I learned to play the  trombone\, keyboard\, and sing lead and harmony vocals before recording my first studio demo  at age 15. I’ve had the honor of playing with thousands of extremely talented musicians over  my career in local bars to broadway and classical orchestra. The moments that have given me  the most joy are when I play Rush songs on stage with my two teenage sons in our family band  The Goldman Boys.   \n  \n \n  \nWid DeSantis  \nWid is a pianist and keyboardist currently living and working in Albany. He has an extensive musical theater background having played for over 80 shows  in the Bay Area of California and the Capital District. My love for music inspired me to learn to play several instruments including  drums\, guitar\, keyboard\, and harmonica.   \nI played the bar scene as well as larger venues for decades in Connecticut\, New Jersey\, and  the New York Hudson Valley. In the early 1980’s\, I performed in all the major rock clubs in the  Albany area and began writing and recording an EP for Polygram records by 1988. The most meaningful and heartfelt gigs have been the benefit fundraisers for children’s hospitals and  animal shelters.  \nI’ve enjoyed playing a wide variety of rock music but Progressive rock continues to be my  favorite style to sing and perform. I’m extremely grateful to find such fine musicians who  possess the talent and passion to bring this great music back to life.
