Young artists of any gender identity\, ethnicity\, and neuro-diversity are encouraged to audition!  \nThis production is casting student artists between ages 13-18. \n\n  \nAUDITION INFO\nAUDITION DATE/TIME \nSaturday\, March 29th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm \nLOCATION \nSteamer No. 10 Theatre \n500 Western Ave.\, Albany\, NY 12203 \nStreet parking is available on Western and Madison\, please do not park in the spots marked off for police vehicles. You may park within the Citizens Bank parking lot (Western Ave) after business hours\, but please take care to avoid handicap/unauthorized spaces with signage. \n\n  \nAUDITION DETAILS\nAuditions will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. \nWHAT TO PREPARE \nSides or scripts will be provided for students to read from at the auditions. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and secure shoes to move in. \nAdditionally\, we ask that students be prepared to fill out any conflicts they may have Mon.-Fri. evenings and Saturdays/Sundays from April trough July. \n\n  \nPRODUCTION DETAILS\nPERFORMANCE DATES \nJuly 11-13 and 18-20\, 2025\nFridays at 7pm\, Saturdays & Sundays at 3pm \nREHEARSAL INFORMATION \nRehearsals will generally be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturdays (time based on participant availability) regularly beginning in April. \nAttendance is mandatory for Tech Week rehearsals July 5-10\, 2025 (with one dark day TBD) and all performances.

SUMMARY:The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (C.A.S.T.)
DESCRIPTION:The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon!\nWritten by Don Zolidis\nDirected by Vinny Pruchnick\nA cast of local theatre students present a plethora of beloved classic tales woven together\, joining the Steamer theatre community onstage from as far as Averill Park and as close as Pine Hills.  \nIn this medley of both familiar and lesser-known plots\, two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild\, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult\, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel\, Rumpelstiltskin\, Hansel and Gretel\, Snow White\, Sleeping Beauty\, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil’s Grandmother. A wild\, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.  \nThe Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon explodes onto the stage in less than one month!  \nThe 85 minute play will perform January 10th and 17th at 7:00 p.m.\, and on January 11th\, 12th\,  10th and 17th at 3:00pm.  \nSeating is General Admission; Ticket Prices: $25.00 for Adults and $20.00 for Students/Seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance online at steamer10.org/events!

SUMMARY:New Year's Eve - 2024: Déja Eww! - Songs to Amuse
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of the national nightmare that begins in a mere three weeks\, Byron and Malcolm salute the tyrants and bullies and general idiots who’ll be wreaking havoc upon us\, with songs like “Four Prominent Bastards\,” “Capitalistic Boss\,” and\, of course\, the anthemic “We Will All Go Together When We Go.” The show costs a mere $25 (less if you’re old like us)\, so spend it while those Social Security checks are still arriving. We’ll also be singing old favorites by Flanders & Swann\, Tom Lehrer\, Randy Newman\, and others.
